RICMA and the Healthy Families Initiative are honored to announce that our sister Kathleen Taylor has been selected for the YWCA Women of Achievement Award 2009, in recognition of her efforts and accomplishments in supporting anti-violence programs with the establishment of the Healthy Families Initiative.
The award ceremony will take place on Wed. September 30th, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm, at the 5th Annual Tools of the Trade Luncheon, at Kirkbrae Country Club. Please join us in attending the ceremony to celebrate this communal success.
To the best of our knowledge, it is the first time a Muslimah has been chosen to receive this distinguished award. May Allah continue to bless her efforts, and make this achievement an opportunity to spread the beauty of Islam, dismantle negative stereotypes, and press on in the pursuit of supporting healthy families in RI.
